Around 2013, 2014 the band entered a new phase, both in its sound and our activity. Richard and Emily took a step back in their involvement in the band and we looked for other people to contribute to our music. During this period 'electro-indie' was emerging and I became more interested in writing on synths, and exploring the merging of the organic and the electronic, particularly with the drums. Cue enter James Askwith who worked with us for a brief period and did some fantastic work creating new synth lines and beats over Richard's drums. I had come up with the synth riff and the song emerged pretty quickly, a depiction of our organic human bodies increasingly merging with the machine. Released in 2015 and probably our most popular song, it's the one song in our catalogue that I would point to as the one that could (should?) have been a hit.
