Collapses is the second full length album by The Shaker Heights. It follows ten years after the band’s 2007 debut release Magna Doors and sees the band embracing a new hybrid electronic sound as well as a more personal and revealing lyrical approach. The album is sequenced to track the beginnings, experiences, and endings of a relationship.

Collapses was recorded between 2015 and 2017. The bulk of the music was put down at Resident Studios (London) and the band’s own home studio (Oxfordshire), with some additional tracking also taking place at Soup Studios (London) and Cooz’s Studio (Oxford).
