Gaslights for Luther

Inspired by Dostoevsky's 'The Double' this imagines my doppelgänger 'Luther' (don't ask why I used that name - I can't remember), this song is a rather youthful result of my reading at the time, with its references to Rimbaud and symbolist images. The recording was entirely done in the Hanson Way garage, and has one of my favourite guitar solos I recorded.

tower looks as if it's leaning from the sky.
The demand of circles, in life adventure, sought me to leave
here and confuse her.

Luther's girl was so still; she’ll let me in I know she will.
She took her name from the ‘Hands of Jeanne-Marie' but to
her lovers she kept it just Marie.
And upstairs dying was my double existence, he had no
electric, he had no chance.
