Upon remastering this song for the 2022 deluxe edition, I took some time to think about the lyric here. I vaguely remember writing it but I cannot remember setting out to write something akin to a depiction of suicide. Perhaps a little over-earnest, it does however have some lovely images. The final version is actually the demo but when listening through it we felt it was ready as it was and so remained just vocal and guitar.
