The Great Depression

A guitar motif inspired by Queen Bitch, or perhaps the Velvets, this is a 'nearly' song i.e it nearly works. My Dylan and beatnik obsession had taken me to the dustbowl ballads and the Grapes of Wrath, which must have inspired this lyric. How unfashionable! Anyway, I was proud of the banjo part I recorded given I had never played one before.
