Waiting on Me (Remastered)

from Magna Doors (Deluxe) by The Shaker Heights

/

about

A Morrissey-influenced lyric, (and a favourite of mine) this is a straight-up pop rock tune written for the stage. The Springsteen-influenced reverb on the vocal worked well as well as the sightly mad saxophone riff played by Emily.

lyrics

Waiting on Me

Sometimes, I'd like to hold a light to the sounds that come
through her lips.
I've won, all the chances made for the claim of our beauteous
trips.

Sometimes you'd be waiting, for what is nothing, are you
waiting, are you waiting on me?

I know, that we cant be both right to say that I'd admit to
being wrong.
We'll go, on a plan we never can keep because iť's gone on too
long.

Sometimes you'd be waiting, for what is nothing, are you
waiting, are you waiting on me?

Sometimes you'd be waiting, for what is nothing, are you
waiting, are you waiting on me?
